Relax, it's your Birthday

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I spread some Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Teal Texture Paste through the Wavy Mask and put aside to dry (approx 1 1/2 hours for this mask).

I cut a frame out of Teal Card using 2 dies from the Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A Die Set.

I stamped the sentiment from John Lockwood's Daisy Corner Elements Stamp Set using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I cut it out using the smallest die in the Spellbinders Triple Floral Die Set and inked through the die with Peacock Feathers. I cut the next size die in the same set out of Teal Card.

I cut some flowers out of one of the papers in Phill's Decadent Damask 8 x 8 Paper Pad using Spellbinders Marisa's Bouquet Die Set. I shaped them a little and added a White Pearl to the centres.

Evening Invitation

Hi Bloggers.

Here's a card from the Couture Creations Wedding Show I did on Create & Craft recently -

For the background, I dusted a piece of Milk Card with my anti-static bag, inked the Daisy Chain Mask up with Perfect Medium, placed it face down onto my dusted card and then tan it through the Grand Calibur. The ink transferred to the de-bossed pattern. I dusted Cosmic Shimmer Enchanted Gold all over the surface.

I cut the Couture Creations Bold Bouquet Die out of Milk Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Bold Flourish Wedding Stationery Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Justrite Vintage Labels 4 Die and also cut a mat out of Milk Card using the next size die in the same set.

I cut the border die from Sue's Dotty 3D Bow die set out of Milk Card.

I made a bow using the same die set using a mix of Milk and Coconut White Card.

I assembled the card as shown adding a dot of Cosmic Shimmer Ivory PVA to each corner.

You Make me Smile

Hi Bloggers.

I'm demoing at Strikes Garden Centre in Wilmslow, Cheshire today 10 till 4. Please pop by if you're in the area.

Here's today's card -

I used the Spellbinders Triple Flip Card Die to cut the card base out of Coconut White Card. The centre panel has the frame stamped from John Lockwood's Flower Frame Elements Stamp Set and the sentiment from his Daisy Corner Elements Stamp Set - both stamped using Plum Archival.

For the centre panel, I stamped some of the smaller elements from John's Scribble Rose Elements and Dogwood Rose Elements using Plum Archival.

For the outside panel, I stamped one of the sentiments from Phill Martin's More Scribbled Sentiments Stamp Set, again using Plum Archival.

I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Leafy Quad Embossing Folder.

I cut the heart die from the Spellbinders Lovin' Diamonds Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I inked it with Perfect Medium, added Phill Martin's Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Wine Embossing Powder and heat set. I added more Perfect Medium, more powder and heat set again.

I made 4 flowers out of Rich Plum Card using the Spellbinders Marisa's Bouquet Die Set adding an 8mm White Pearl to the centres.

Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

This card is the result of a lady that came up to me last Saturday at the NEC and told me that she hadn't used the Classic/Striped Weaving Dies from Sue in the same way that I had. Really? says I? Well, I tried it and the result is here. Instead of laying the Striped die cut over the classic die cut so that the edges of the classic strips are covered with the thin striped strips, the classic die cut is offset so that the thin striped strips lay in the centre of the classic strips. I've then woven in the usual way.

I cut a frame out of Black and Coconut White Card using Sue's Ornate Pierced Rectangles Die Set.

I made a flower out of Black Card using Sue's Cornflower Die Set and added a Small Circle Dazzler.

I cut some leaves and flowers using Sue's Blossoming Branch Die Set and added some 3mm White Pearls.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Amazing Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using Sue's Pierced Flags Die Set and cut a larger mat out of Black Card using the same die set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Pearl Corners.

Thanks for stopping by.

Embrace Love

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I started by spreading some Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Decandent Teal Sparkle Texture Paste the the A Touch of Class Mask onto Coconut White Card and put aside to dry.

I stamped the sentiment from John Lockwood's Scribble Rose Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Phill's CS Decandent Teal Embossing Powder. I used a dry wet wipe to remove the excess mica. I cut it out using a die from the Spellbinders Floral Assortment Die Set and inked through the die with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I cut the largest die from the same die set and again inked through the die with Peacock Feathers.

I tied a bow using Creative Expressions Tornado Blue Satin Ribbon and added a White Crystal Sparkler.

I made a couple of decorative stick pins using Creative Expressions Stick Pin Elements.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls.

Sending you Warm Thoughts

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I did an open weave using Sue's Striped Weaving Die and Rich Plum Card. Sue has a video on her YouTube Channel showing how to do this here.

I cut the largest but one die from Sue's Ornate Pierced Rectangles Die Set out of Rich Plum Card. I cut the same die and the next 2 smaller dies from the same die set out of Coconut White Card. I glued the frame to the Rich Plum die cut. Once the glue was dry, I re-seated the inner die into the frame and ran it through the Grand Calibur again.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Delightful Sentiments Stamp Set using Plum Archival. I cut it out using a couple of the dies from Sue's Santorini Die Set (Greek Collection). I cut just the larger of the 2 dies out of Rich Plum Card and glued the 2 die cuts together.

I cut the border from the Greek Corner, Border & Tag die set. I cut it into 2 sections. I made a flower from Rich Plum Card using Sue's Classic Rose Die Set following her tutorial here and here.

Order of Service

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I used Sue's Paper Grouting Technique. I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Large Velvet Tea Lights Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. I then spread some Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Dawn Texture Paste over the surface and put aside to dry. It doesn't take long to dry as the layer of paste is very thin.

I cut the Couture Creations Love Abounds Die out of Milk Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Bold Flourish Wedding Stationery Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels 4.

I made a couple of flowers out of Milk Card using Spellbinders Spiral Blossom 4. I cut some leaves out of Milk Card using Sue's Curled Vines Dies Set and out of Coconut White Card using Couture Creations Vintage Branch Die.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls.

Thanks for stopping by.
