Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

As promised, today I have a card from tomorrow's shows. I have picked some of my favourite stamps from 2014 for the shows - there's a different selection on each show.

This is a new card I've made for the first show -

I couldn't end the year without a few more messy backgrounds! I still love doing them and they are a great way of getting into stamping and are never the same twice.

So, for this background, I randomly stamped Phill Martin's Leafy Background onto Coconut White Card using Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I repeated the process with Phill's Grungy Honeycomb and Crushed Olive Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Rambling Blossoms Embossing Folder and inked around the edges with Stormy Sky. I rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over the embossed design. I left it to dry for a few minutes and then buffed up with a dry wet wipe. I wrapped a piece of White Crochet Ribbon around the centre.

I stamped the Lily Spray using Jet Black Archival amd embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Distress Markers - Stormy Sky, Crushed Olive and Mustard Seed, pulling the colour out using a Tim Holtz Water Brush.

I cut the Lily Spray out using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two and inked through the die with Stormy Sky.

I made a bow out of Sky Blue Card using Sue's Mosaic 3D Itty Bitty Bow and added it to the Lily Spray.

I stamped the sentiment which comes with the Cut Glass Vase using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using another Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two Die and inked through the die with Stormy Sky.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Small Circle Dazzler to each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Cosmic Pearl PVA around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
