If friends were flowers

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Eternity Embossing Folder.

I stamped the Floral Spray onto Black Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two.

I made a bow using Sue's Filigree 3D Itty Bitty Bow and added it to the Floral Spray.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Crystal Swirl Vase onto Black Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with True White Detail Powder. I cut it out using a die from Sue's Valencia Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Black Swirl, some Small Black Circle Dazzlers and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Cosmic Pearl PVA around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  3. Hello Julia, this card is very elegant and classy, and especially if the recipient isn't one that likes lots of bling and colour. Really like it, and think with a different sentiment could be a sympathy card. Thank you for all the ideas and inspiration. Take care. Bx

  11. Morning Julia, I love the way you have used Sue's bow over the stamped image - saves a lot of fiddly masking if trying to do a stamped bow. Thanks for reminding us just how nice these stamps are.
Have a good day, Ruth x

  16. Julia - been a bit quiet recently as recovering from Whiplash (result of a rear end shunt) and sitting at a compter for any period of time is painful. Anyway all is wellish now, car cannot be repaired until the New Year, hopefully all will be done by 15th Jan (I am booked on your workshop), otherwise it will be a strange car to a unfamiliar area when I travel down - that will be a challenge.

I am pleased to see that someone else is finding the itty bitty bows useful for stamped floral arrangements.
