Hi Bloggers.
Had a brilliant time at my workshop yesterday. My next workshop is on October 15th in Sherringham with Sherringham Crafts, then the following Saturday in Lyndhurst with Emerald Crafts and my last one in October is on 28th when the lovely Leonie Pujol is coming over to Milton Keynes to join me. For the first 2, you need to contact the shops if you want to join in. For the one with Leonie, you can book
here. Hurry though - only 5 spaces left!
Here's today's card -
I started by cutting a strip of
Coconut White Card approx 3 1/8" wide by 6" in length to fit the width of the Wendy Vecchi Tag Toppers Art Part.
I swiped some
Fired Brick Distress Oxide onto my Craft Sheet. I misted it with water and picked it up onto my card. I dried it and then inked all over with
Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide and added some Fired Brick Distress Oxide around the edges. Finally, I lightly went around the edges with
Walnut Stain Distress Oxide.
I stamped the Crazy in Love text from the Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 3 Cheers for Art several times using Carnation Red Archival Ink from the
Wendy Vecchi Mini Ink Pad Kit 1.
I covered a Tag Toppers Art Part and an
Arty Hearts Pop-em with
CS White Gesso. I then covered them with Fired Brick Distress Oxide. I edged them with Walnut Stain Oxide. I misted some water into my hand and clapped over them to create little splats. I blotted with Kitchen Roll.I stamped onto the Tag Toppers with a stamp from the 3 Cheers for Art Stamp set using Carnation Red Archival.
I added
Clear Perfect Medium to the Art Part then
Clear CS Ultra Thick Embossing Crystals and heat set using a
Low Speed Heat Tool. I added some more ink and some more powder and heat set again. While still moulten, I sprinkled a little Tarnished Gold and Tropic Pearl CS Embossing Crystals and also a little
CS Golden Sand Glitterbitz.
I stamped another stamp from the 3 Cheers for Art Stamp Set onto the Pop-em using Red Carnation Archival. I added Clear Perfect Medium, Clear CS Ultra Thick Embossing Crystals and heat set using a Low Speed Heat Tool. I added more ink and more powder, heat set and then sprinkled some Golden Sands Glitterbitz while still molten.
I set the Efcolor Stove up and added Clear and Blue Raspberry CS Ultra Thick Embossing Crystals to a Pie Case and added the lid. Once molten, I added it to a couple of moulds that I made during the shows I did last December. After a few minutes,I popped them out of their moulds. I added one to the Arty Hearts Pop-em.
I swiped some Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide onto my
Craft Sheet, misted it with water and picked it up onto another piece of card. I dried it and then repeated the process with Fired Brick. I cut a couple of leaves out of it using
Sue Wilson's Spring Foliage Die Set and edged then with a little Walnut Stain Distress Oxide.
I cut the largest solid flower from Sue's
Striped Nasturtium Die Set twice. I inked another piece of card with Fired Brick and cut the same sized open flower from the same die set twice. I glued them together, shaped them and added my other embellishment to the centre.
I swiped some Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide onto my Craft Sheet, misted it with
water and picked it up onto a piece of
Blue White Ameerican Seam Binding. I dried it and then
repeated the process with Fired Brick. I glued the Arty Hearts Pop-em and the Tag Topper Art Part to my tag. I trimmed my card to the shape of the tag using scissors. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch through the hole in the Art Part and through my card. I added my ribbon.
I decided to pop my tag onto a card. I embossed a piece of card using the
Creative Expressions Brambled Rose Embossing Folder. I edged it with Fired Brick Distress Oxide using a
Smoothie. I matted onto
Antique Gold Pearl Card using
CS Glue and then onto Coconut White Card using
CE Mounting Cushion.
I completed my card by adding an
8mm White Pearl to each corner of my embossed background.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
