Seasons Greetings

Hi Bloggers.

Day 1 of Ally Pally today. I'm demoing lots of Justrite stamps and dies and Cosmic Shimmer goodies. Hope to see you there.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I used a piece of Yupo White Cardstock. I cut it in half. I added Pool and Mermaid Alcohol Inks using an Applicator Tool and Felt. I then stamped the deer, tree and rock from Lisa Horton's Winter Wonderland Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. Now, to be honest, I made a complete mess of this (I think my Archival needed re-inking) but that wasn't a problem. I just popped some Alcohol Ink Blending Solution onto the background and wiped it away using Kitchen Roll. A little of the blue colour remained, but I was happy with that. So, I started again!

I applied more Alcohol Ink using the Applicator Tool again, this time just around the edges.

Once the ink was dry, I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the images using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. Now, Yupo doesn't really like to be heat embossed I discovered so, you have to be really careful or the top layer will start to shrink away!

I stamped the sentiment from Lisa's Inky Christmas Stamp Set, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder (carefully!).

I stamped little splats around the edges with a little stamp set from the same set using Jet Black Archival.

I matted onto Black Card and popped it onto a proper Coconut White Card Blank.

    This is a very different type of Christmas card. not really my cup of tea - but each to his own!!. Love the stamp with the deer and the tree.
