Well I hope so anyway!
Hi Bloggers.
I'm hoping that this bright card will bring us some sunshine today -
For the background, I inked through one of the elements in the Floral Elements Mask using Wild Honey Distress Ink in each corner of a piece of Coconut White Card. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations My Garden Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Wild Honey.
I stamped the wreath from the Taylored Expressions Sunflower Wreath Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Majestic Circles and inked through the die with Wild Honey. I cut the 2 largest dies from the set and inked through the die with Wild Honey.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with True White Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two and inked through the die with Wild Honey.
I made 2 flowers out of White Crochet Ribbon following Sue's Ribbon Flower Tutorial. I cut some leaves using Sue's Faux Quilled Leaves Die Set.
I assembled the card as shown adding a White 8mm Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.
Don't forget to leave a comment on yesterday's post to go into the draw for the blog candy.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteStamping on and embossing on coloured card is one of the reason I bought the Ivory Cosmic Shimmmer powder (from a Sue show on C&C). Makes a nice alternate to white. Fingers crossed for the sunshine.

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteI love every single thing about this card apart from the colour! Sorry! I really like that mask and will probably get it as its so versatile too. Really like the dies and stamped image. Your little roses are lovey. Will give it a whirl in another colour way. I know it's bright and cheery but not for me.
Tried making a rose with the grosgrain ribbon cut in half as per your demo on C&C ! You were right the first one was rubbish! However I am quite pleased with the latest attempts.
Thanks, Love Myra
Stunning Julia, my favourite summer colour. I love this card.
