Hi Bloggers.
I'm hoping to have a lie in after yesterday's long day but no doubt I'll be up at my usual time. Thanks so much for your emails and comments here on the blog yesterday.
Here's today's card -
The background has been achieved by cutting the Spellbinders Tapestry Die twice from a piece of Apricot Card. It's easy to line it up at the edge of the previously cut section - just remember to hang the already cut piece outside of the Grand Calibur so that you don't squash the embossed bit. This die benefits from using a piece of card as a shim when cutting.
I stamped the Vintage Dressform using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Golden Fish Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Superellipse and inked through the die with Dried Marigold Distress Ink.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments using Perfect Medium and embossed with Golden Fish Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Matting Basics A and inked through the die with Dried Marigold.
I made a flower using theHeartfelt Creations Striped Sunkissed Fleur Stamp and the Sunkissed Fleur Die. I cut some leaves using the Hearfelt Creations Ornamental Add On Die Set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Good morning Julia. This card is not my cup of tea mainly I think because I'm not that keen on the colour. I like the tapestry background and would love to see more of that in other colours. X
ReplyDeleteGood morning Julia the background looks amazing I did spot the die on the website. I have recorded the shows so that I can watch them when I get home. I really hope that you get some rest today you deserve it. Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Julia. Pretty card, but like Sue Dunn I am not keen on the colour. Saw your first show yesterday, which was great, and will watch the rest that were recorded later on. Hope you get your lie in! Take care.
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia, I hope you are still in the 'land of nod', you certainly had a hectic day yesterday, but the shows were brilliant.

ReplyDeleteOh dear, another one for my wish list- the Tapestry die is great, christmas can't come soon enough! A lovely card Julia and in my bridesmaid colours too! As I'm beginning to scrapbook the photos (28 years late!!) I'm off to my local craft shop to buy some of that apricot card stock having given up with C & C due to their poor customer service. Enjoy a relaxing day after yesterday! x

ReplyDeleteHi Julia. Oh that dreaded dress form again. Love the card apart from that.
