Sending you Sunshine

Hi Bloggers.

Today I'm sharing something a bit different - very girly. This card features an image from one of the new Creative Expressions Fashionista Stamp Sets that I will be demonstrating this weekend at Ally Pally. This image is Sadie. I love these stamp sets - a great excuse to use ribbon, flowers and a bit of bling. Lovely for girlies of all ages and really easy to colour. Hopefully, I will have some of these stamp sets for sale in my Amazon Store next week.

For the background, I used some Foundations Floral Dream Paper and stamped all over with a swirl from the Creative Expressions Beaded Elements Stamp Set using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Ornamental Iron M-Bossabiities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then inked around the edges with Faded Jeans using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Fashionista - A Day Shopping Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Blue Lace and Blue Cotton from the Soft Velvet Set, Scarlet Flame from the Autumn Shades Set, Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set, and Warm Delight from the Matt Skin Tones Set. I cut her out using Spellbinders Large Labels and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I cut a mat out of blue card using Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Rectangles.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader die and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I made some ribbon flowers out of white crochet ribbon, white wrinkle edged ribbon and white ruffe edged ribbon using the technique in Sue's tutorial here. I cut some 'leaves' out of blue card using the Spellbinders Venetian Motifs die set and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I assembled the card as shown, remembering the wrap some white crochet ribbon around the card before adding my topper. I also added some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue.

If you're going to Ally Pally over the weekend please come and say Hi.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
